Finally, we get to the long-expected ‘end of the tunnel’: vaccination. However, even though this may seem the ultimate way out of the crisis, there is a caveat. Up to this point, the measures have been quickly enforcable, but vaccination is of a different nature in that it requires immense research efforts before it can be applied. Eventually though, vaccination is able to trick individuals’ immune systems into making protective antibodies that remove such individuals from the picture, creating a barrier known as herd immunity.
